The contest them was "rainbows". It's such a diverse, yet simple concept. I didn't enter the contest really for the prizes, but rather for the strikingly interesting contest and concept. To create an image based off of rainbows.
With this piece, I didn't want to just draw a rainbow and a girl, that screams "boorrinngg!" Instead, I wanted to take the concept to a whole new level. I decided to create a magical sweet shop, in which you walk in to an ordinary, colorful store, but with magic's kiss, you are descended into an alternate world of magic and wonder, filled with towers of sweets and joy
It was hard work creating a full image around a vague topic, but I tried my best and hopefully it pays off 
I tried to keep my color scheme to rainbow colors haha, so you will see a lot of repeated color palettes
Done with the usuals, copic markers, manga paper, unipin fineliner and some sepia pens

Overall Vision
Originality Technique ImpactThis is awesome. At only first glance, it easily traps the viewer into the colorful vortex of rainbow woven into the picture. The sheer white stockings especially grab your attention and the amount of detail put into this traditional piece is mind-blowing. The amount of things to look at and explore really gives the art a strong sense of versatility. The small particles of dust and sparkles gives this piece an extra dash of magic; which I would say works along with the bakery rainbow theme well. Even the subtle details are superb- the slight rainbow tint on the girl's hair to the seemingly mini village in the bottom left corner; I give you the utmost highest praise for working hard on every tiny detail to wrap this up into a perfect rainbow laced bow. The only slight fault I could manage to even find was that the girls calfs appear a little too pointed; but not at all to the point where it interferes with the quality of the art. Thanks so much for putting this piece up, it's phenomenally awe-inspiring. <3
