This took me COUNTLESS hours. it is a full top to bottom digital painting. The character is me and I drew myself as the mad hatter. I used references of Wonderland and the mad hatter to create this. Alot of people told me the things in this picture look like photos, thanks, but they;re not! DOWNLOAD TO SEE FULL SIZE!!!!! I wanted it to go from all happy and wonderlandy, to dark and evil, so it contrasts good vs evil.
Tools- Adobe photoshop Cs2, References of wonderland and myself.
Time- 53298548901 hours D: (not literally)
OMG I really hope I win!!! whish me luck!!!
EDIT:
I Drew in the Cheshire cat and added the checkers to the grass and added some vines Also changed some colors and shadows for intensity.
This is a stunning design first off, beautiful work with the colors. you've managed to incorporate much of the essence of the movie into this, and have created a stunning layout for the background. the contrast in shading is wonderful, but i couldn't help but notice that the hatter (or yourself ) hasn't got a shadow.
The usage of transitioning between scenes is superb however, and i commend you on your usage of different layouts. the focus point (being the hatter) is also easy to recognize, and there's little i can suggest for future improvement other than usage of more detail in the foreground. The plants, flowers and grass seem to lack as much detail as the background, and generally that should be the other way round. (the viewer tends to focus on up close detail often )

all in all, time worth spent. good work!
